Many midstate restaurants sailed through their recent inspections.
But some restaurants in Dauphin, Perry, Cumberland and Lancaster counties had violations during inspections conducted between March 1 and March 7, including improper storage of food, food residue on appliances and improper hand washing.

NORWALK, Conn. — Starting on April 1, the Norwalk Transfer Station, located at 61 Crescent St, will begin accepting freon-containing appliances, the city of Norwalk announced.
Freon-containing appliances that will be accepted include: refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners and dehumidifiers.  
The disposal fee is $ 10 per appliance and residents will only be allowed to dispose of three appliances per day.
